Grade 9 integrated science


In this course you will learn the basics of science as prescribed in the syllabus for integrated science. It is intended for learners taking integrated science at junior secondary school level of education, this includes both internal pupils and GCE candidates. It places greater emphasis on understanding and application of science concepts and principles.

What Will I Learn?

  • This course will equip you with the necessary skills required for you to pass your examinations with flying colours. The skills you will learn in this course will go a long way into senior secondary school and help you understand and perform well in senior secindary school as well.

The human body?

Thus topic deals with the circulatory system and the respiratory system in human beings.


This topic deals with the common sexually transmitted infections, how they are transmitted and how they can be prevented. It also covers the impact of HIV and AIDS on the population.

The environment?

This topic deals with cycles in the biosphere and the effective water management systems.

Plants and animals?

This topic deals with the conservation animals and plants. It also covers the processes of photosynthesis, respiration and transpiration in plants.

Materials and energy?

This topic deals with chemical reactions, the nature of light, electricity, pressure, energy and communication.
